Resources for Patients and Caregivers

Often our paediatricians recommend particular documents and information handouts.  You may have received one of these when you were at the clinic.  In case you are not able to come to our office we have added some of these as pdf files so that you are able to read and print them from our website.

While schools are closed during this pandemic, families are doing their best to help continue their children’s education. Many teachers and schools are offering creative virtual classes and material.  Government and the education system is trying to help too. Many online resources have popped up or made free of charge. Here are some resources we hope you find helpful in this difficult time.

  • HPEDSB – Our School Board’s Online Education Website
  • Ontario Learn at Home – The Province’s Web based Education Program during school closures
  • Curio.ca – Usually subscription based, this online education streaming service is hosted by CBC.ca
  • When and How to Call 911 – Teaching children how to call 911 using various phones

For urgent concerns, please go to your nearest emergency department or urgent care clinic or call 911.

Should you require medical advice, please contact Telehealth Ontario, toll free, at 1-866-797-0000.

If you do not have a primary care provider, you can register with Health Care Connect, online at ontario.ca/HealthcareConnect or by phone, at 1-800-445-1822, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, and a nurse will help you find a doctor or nurse practitioner accepting patients near you.
